Kanika Radhakrishnan is a Harvard-trained patent attorney, founder and Managing Shareholder of Evergreen Valley Law Group (EVLG), and an active startup investor. She brings the combined perspective of an operator who has built and run a global business for two decades and an investor who has backed 25+ early-stage deep tech companies across the US, India, and Europe—a vantage point on how technology strategy, capital, and legal risk actually converge. Her clients' portfolios have contributed to more than $1.1B in combined exit value, with IP accounting for 40–50% of deal value in those transactions. Kanika works with AI companies on the questions the field is still resolving: what is genuinely ownable in a model-based product, how training data provenance and open-weight boundaries shape defensibility, and where AI capability translates into durable advantage rather than rented capability. She approaches AI as a strategic asset question rather than a technical one—how it reshapes competitive position and the defensibility of the revenue model, and what a board needs to exercise credible oversight as the regulatory and disclosure landscape moves. She serves as fractional IP counsel and board advisor to technology companies on AI, data strategy, and governance, and is completing Stanford Law School's course on AI Strategy for Legal Leaders. Kanika built EVLG into a global boutique with offices in San Jose and Bangalore, serving semiconductor, photonics, AI infrastructure, robotics, defense, and EV companies across the US, India, and the EU. She has overseen 5,000+ patent filings with an 87% grant rate and advises accelerators, incubators, and early-stage venture funds on IP defensibility—work that holds portfolios to the diligence standard preceding any liquidity event. Prior to this, she practiced as a patent litigator at Morrison & Foerster. Kanika recently joined the Board of Directors of Alpha Public Schools and has previously served as Co-Chair of TiE Women Global and board member of TiE Bangalore, Narika, and SABA Northern California.
